When I worked in pet stores many many moons ago we had bottle-feeding racoon babies. They melted my heart, but they don't make good pets. We had one client who bought one and when it got full-sized it once opened her cabinets, opened a jar of peanut butter, then trailed little peanut butter smears all over every stick of furniture. They're very good with their hands, which are remarkable similar to our hands.
They are cute, and it would be great if they just visited from time to time. Maybe they're just a "struggling family" needing a bit of assistance. I love encounters with nature, though, and I'm glad that you are sharing yours.
OMG how adorable!
